Buyer/Planner - Level 1 

The Buyer/Planner reports to the General Manager.


  • Purchase material within assigned areas

  • Works with Admin to issue purchase orders

  • Quote standard and smaller dollar items

  • Negotiate small dollar agreements

  • Performs planning for customer accounts

  • Works to understand customer needs and fills them

  • Receives most job or task instructions from Purchasing Manager

  • Other duties as assigned


High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience

Familiar with Microsoft Excel and one year of purchasing experience

Project Manager

The Project Manager reports to the VP of Operations and is a key component to the success of AFC Industries.  


  • Manage and track multiple projects such as ERP System integrations and warehouse moves

  • Coordinate the planning, development, and execution of project deliverables

  • Lead project planning, budgeting, action plans, and monitoring processes

  • Conduct project team meetings - monitor action items and deadlines

  • Make sure projects are completed on time

  • Regular project status reporting to management

  • Design, set-up, and maintain project plans

  • Actively involved with ERP changes and implementations

  • Assist with project tasks as needed

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Degree in project management, a correlating discipline, or equivalent work experience

Work Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Manager

  • Experience within the warehouse distribution industry preferred

  • Previous experience managing ERP migrations is a plus

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects to completion

Professional Skills

Shipping Clerk 

This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits including 401k, paid holidays.


  • Must be able to read and understand a sales order

  • Capable of lifting 20 - 70 lbs.

  • Ensure all orders are filled, completed and accurate

  • Make sure all orders are shipped promptly and in a timely fashion

  • Must be able to ship product through UPS machine, common carrier, and special delivery services

  • Coordinate with freight forwarders and couriers for shipments

  • Complete documents needed for international shipping and exports

  • Work on “Ship Today” orders

  • Work on "Ship by Due Date" orders

  • Maintain goals set up for ISO

  • Other duties as assigned

Order Filler

The Order Filler reports to the onsite Warehouse Manager in Bloomington, MN. This is a full-time position and is eligible for benefits including 401k and paid holidays.


  • Locate and pull product for customer orders accurately and efficiently 

  • Visually inspect product to ensure product pulled is correct

  • Maintain and update electronic inventory system

  • Notify appropriate personnel of any shortages or mislabeled product in stock

  • Retag product when orders are broken down to the customer’s quantities


  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience

  • Certified on or prior experience on a forklift

Professional Skills

  • Basic math and communication skills required

  • Adhere to ISO guidelines and procedures

  • Attention to detail when identifying product tag information

  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs

  • Accurately identify type of product

  • Knowledge of use of scales for weight counting

  • Ability to walk, stand, carry materials, stoop, kneel, bend at waist, climb ladders or equipment

Inside Sales / Account Manager 

The Inside Sales / Account Manager reports to the Director of Sales.


Hartford, CT


  • Review contracts

  • Manage open order flow

  • Expedite and facilitate special delivery requirements

  • Provide samples and technical assistance

  • Maintain customer contract database

  • Manage quote process

  • Prepare and submit formal quotes directly to customer or provide to outside sales for presentation to customer

  • Work with the team to develop assigned customers by seeking new sales opportunities within the account

  • Assist with preparation and presentation, as needed, of account business reviews

  • Schedule APQP team meetings or equivalent for new items and manage engineering changes


  • High school diploma or GED required

Work Experience

  • 2 years related work experience

  • Experience with machined components in an automotive or aerospace environment is preferred

Professional Skills

  • Ability to read mechanical blueprints

  • Basic competency in geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)

Territory Sales Manager (New England)

This role will report to Director of Sales – AFC Northeast.


Boston, MA


  • Work in a defined territory with direct reporting to Director of Sales

  • Focus on customer retention by advancing existing customer relationships at all levels within the customer’s organization and by hosting quarterly business reviews with key customers

  • Expand “share of wallet” at existing customers by regularly adding new components or services

  • Build and maintain a pipeline of relevant account opportunities and keep them updated in the company CRM tool

  • Follow a defined sales process and participate in all weekly, quarterly & annual sales calls / meetings

  • Provide relentless communication to internal and external stakeholders throughout the sales process

  • Other duties as assigned


Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

3+ years’ proven track record of fastener VMI program sales and program management to OEM customers
